About me

Hello and welcome, I am Lisa founder of Bourne in Colour!

My journey into the world of colour analysis might not seem typical, but it is deeply rooted in a lifelong passion: understanding and supporting people.

Before launching Bourne in Colour, I spent 25 years working in the Civil Service. Throughout my two and a half decades in public service, my core mission was always about people, listening to them, supporting them, and truly understanding their unique backgrounds. If there is one vital lesson my long career taught me, it is that everyone is beautifully different. No two individuals share the same story, the same presence, or the same needs.

After 25 years of helping people find their voice and footing, I decided to pivot that exact same passion for human connection into something deeply personal, creative, and uplifting.

Bourne in Colour was born out of a desire to help you see yourself in your very best light. Because I strongly believe that standard, one-size-fits-all solutions rarely work for individuals, I chose to train extensively in the advanced 16 sub-season colour analysis method.

While traditional analysis splits everyone into the four seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter), my specialist training goes a layer deeper. The 16 sub-season method allows us to uncover your specific dominant traits—whether you are a Bright Spring, a Soft Summer, a Deep Autumn, or a True Winter. This highly precise system is the perfect bridge between my past career and my current passion: it ensures that your colour consultation is as uniquely tailored, nuanced, and individual as you are.

Colour analysis is so much more than just finding out which clothes look nice. It is a transformative experience that unlocks your natural harmony and boosts your daily confidence. Just as I spent decades learning to appreciate and cultivate the differences in people, I now use the science and artistry of sub-season analysis to highlight the beautiful individuality of your skin, eyes, and hair.

When you sit in my chair for a professional draping session, you aren't just getting a service. You are stepping into a supportive, warm, and tailored space where the focus is entirely on discovering what makes you shine.

Whether you are looking to simplify your wardrobe, rediscover your confidence, or find your perfect everyday lip shade, I cannot wait to welcome you to the studio and guide you on your personal colour journey.

Let’s discover your palette together,

Lisa

I have a wonderful dog (Poppy) who loves being here, but may bark excitedly for a few seconds when the doorbell rings! Don't worry—she will be safely tucked away in a separate room during your actual appointment, so your draping session will be completely quiet, relaxing, and focused entirely on you. If you have a severe allergy or phobia of dogs, please just reply to this email to let me know so I can make sure they are completely out of sight before you arrive.
