Yes, please! It is incredibly important for an accurate analysis. Makeup—even a light tinted moisturizer or a swipe of mascara—covers your skin’s natural undertones and alters the way light reflects off your face. Coming bare-faced ensures we map your true 16 sub-season palette accurately. You are more than welcome to bring your makeup bag along, and we can look through your favourite products together at the end of your session! If you would prefer, I can be make-up free too. Just let me know before your appointment.

Not at all! Every single one of the 16 sub-seasons has its own unique version of almost every colour. For example, if you are a warm Autumn, you might avoid icy pastel pink, but you will look absolutely spectacular in a rich salmon or terracotta pink. If you are a Winter, you thrive in deep royal blues, while a Summer shines in soft slate blues. My job is to show you which version of your favourite colours will make you look radiant..

I promise there are no "colour police" here! While true black is a staple that naturally belongs to the Winter palettes, my goal is to give you options, not restrictions. If we discover you are a Spring or an Autumn and black isn't in your primary palette, I will show you how to wear it strategically (such as pairing it with your power shades near your face) and introduce you to your season's alternative neutrals—like deep chocolate browns, rich olives, or warm marine navy's—that will make your complexion instantly pop.

Absolutely not! Your comfort and safety are my top priorities. The primary part of your colour analysis is done entirely through clean, hygienic fabric drapes. Trying on the custom seasonal lipstick is a completely optional finishing touch. If you have known allergies or reactive skin, just let me know at the start of your session. We can look at the shade together or swatch it on a piece of paper so you can still take home your perfect product information without risking any irritation!

To ensure the absolute accuracy of your analysis, it is best to be fake-tan free on your face. Just like makeup, fake tan alters your natural skin tone and hides the undertone we need to see. I highly recommend scheduling your appointment for a time when your facial tan has faded. However, if you only wear fake tan on your body, there is no need to worry—I can easily use a neutral drape up to your neck to mask the tanned area and ensure a perfect result.

Each seasonal palette features a beautiful, broad spectrum of shades—ranging from elegant neutrals to vibrant, chromatic colours. My hope is that you will feel inspired to embrace all aspects of your palette once you see how beautifully they illuminate your features. However, if you prefer a more subtle look, you will still leave your appointment knowing exactly which neutrals give you that effortless, feel-good boost.

Yes, I have a friendly dog named Poppy. She will not be in the studio during your colour analysis, but if you have a dog allergy or feel uncomfortable around pets, please notify me in advance so I can accommodate your needs."
